• It says plainly in the bible that “no one knows the day or hour” of Christ return, (Mathew 24:36). However a few things stick out when such a verse is considered in light of the feast that are talked about in Leviticus 23: 1. These feast are referred to as convocations or rehearsals, (Leviticus 23:2). 2. Some of these ‘rehearsals’ have had fulfillment already. Such as Christ dying on Passover and the birth of the Church on Pentecost. Since God’s nature is unchangeable and major events had occurred during one of those feast my question is: Could the next major event happen at one of those fall Jewish feast? (It seems that if the answer was yes, that it would not seem to violate the boundaries that the Lord prescribed in Mathew 24:36. However Mathew 24:44 indicates a strong element of surprise even for the believer). So maybe the question should be framed as thus: Are the Fall Feast of Leviticus 23 ‘indicators’ of what is to come so that the modern Christian has something to look forward to?
• Some have said that Christ will return on any Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah). What fuels such speculations is the fact that major events had occured at other Jewish feast in the past. (e.g. The birth of the Church at. How should one view these feast in light of God’s unchangable nature and Mathew 24:36-44 without getting fanaticaly nuts? Christ said that “no one knows the day or hour” and yet people were given strong indicators of His first coming, (as talked about Daniel). Are the Fall feast any indicator of His 2nd Coming?
